Family portraits are a special way to capture the unique bond and love that exists within a family. Whether in the studio or on location. I like to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for my clients, allowing them to be themselves and showcase their personalities in their images.
In the studio, I can control the lighting and create a classic, clean look that is perfect for a timeless portraits. On location, I love to incorporate the natural beauty of the outdoors into images. We are so lucky to have so many stunning locations on our doorstep.
Studio
In the studio there is a variety of backgrounds and props to choose from. When a family comes into the studio, I take the time to get to know them and make them feel comfortable. I understand that being in front of the camera can be nerve-wracking, especially for children, so I work to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where everyone can feel at ease.
I use a combination of posed and candid shots to create a well-rounded collection of images. I love to capture those special moments that occur naturally, like a child's belly laugh or a tender embrace between parents.
Location
When planning an outdoor photo shoot, I work with the family to choose a location that is not only visually appealing, but also holds personal significance for them. Whether it's a favorite park or beach, or even their own backyard, I believe that the location should reflect the family's unique style and personality.
During the shoot, I aim to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere for the family, while also directing them into natural and flattering poses. I encourage families to interact with each other, whether it's playing games, telling jokes, or simply enjoying each others company. I find that these candid moments often result in the most beautiful and memorable photographs.
